This week has flown by! I've been a busy bee, working hard on lots of new designs and jewellery, as well as taking a couple of days off in London with friends!

Today I made some bracelets to add to my new Dot range - I think they're rather fancy!
This afternoon I am working on some new sewn brooches, with owl fabric. I'll be back with photographs soon!

As promised, some photographs of my new jewellery range!
I used the colours in the fabric to help decide on the colours of the frames and stitching - I have had the fabric for ages and I think it's adorable. The next batch of brooches will have different fabric and different colours.

I made lots of pretty cushions this week - I love the pink and blue embroidery!
I have a very sweet customer called Nia, and a couple of weeks ago we had a chat about Button Monsters. This led to a plot, which involved Nia designing a monster and me making it for her. On Saturday Nia brought up a blueprint for a very snazzy little monster...
Here is Nia and her fully annotated schematic. She also showed me a very imaginative story that she has written involving her specially designed monster, called Meesha, and a bit of detective work - It even has a Sherlock Holmes Button Monster. I think it's pretty amazing...
On Wednesday I made Nia's Monster, using her fantastic diagram for reference, and here it is...

I have spent all week so far working in my stall putting together lots of new jewellery, working on my gemmipop vintage range and some bits and bobs of stock, so today I worked from home! I have been busy making new fabric birds and sewing up my new range of brooches...

My new range of jewellery is finished and in my stall! I have lots of ideas for how this range progresses, but this is the first part...
The range is all based on seven colours - red, yellow, white, black, navy and two shades of grey, and they are in different arrangements. I am really quite happy with how it all looks!
There are two lengths of necklaces - the longer has seven dots, one of each colour, and the shorter ones have five dots, a selection from the seven colours. I have had a really positive response so far, and sold two of the longer necklaces today!

I've been working on some new jewellery designs over the last couple of weeks, and today I made some of the first pieces!
These ones will be brooches, I'll share some more photographs when they're done! And this is a sneak preview of the new range that I'm putting together - this is the first pair of earrings...

A week ago today a very special lady that I know got hitched, and I was thrilled to make some things for her big day...
These little birds are made from the bride's grandmother's hand embroidered linen, it was so beautiful! I hand stitched the little hearts on the chests in two shades of purple - the bride's favourite colour.
I just love them! I also made their cake topper...
I think it's rather splendid! Congratulations again to the Bride and Groom, I hope they have a very long and happy marriage!

The gemmipop vintage section of my stall is expanding...
I made this cushion on Wednesday and I have lots more cut out and ready to sew! This one would be perfect for a picnic or a bench in the garden...
The front is made from a vintage embroidered tablecloth,
And the back is fantastic florals! I really enjoy making cushions, I love choosing complementary fabrics and piecing everything together. I'll have lots more to share soon!

Today's actual creative space was a whole rainbow coloured explosion of finger-painting with two of my favourite little ladies, Eleanor and Isabelle, the three year old twins of a friend. We had a fantastic time slopping paint around, so much so that it completely slipped my mind to document it! So, instead, here are my latest finished projects - my crocheted fabric log basket...
And a very cute little pot for keeping my sock knitting safe!
The only issue that I've found with crocheting fabric is that I end up with the little flappy bits on the reverse side, which are to do with the technique of making a sheet of fabric into a ball of yarn. It's an annoyance, but there isn't really a way to fix it so my perfectionist self will have to deal with it. Either which way, I have a delightful log basket!
I'm joining in with My Creative Space this week - pop over and have a look!

I've got a couple of projects on the go at the moment, I like to have lots to work on, and lately I've been crafting indecisively depending on my mood!
But the main thing occupying my time is a fabric log basket. It's almost done now and should be perfect for storing logs in our living room ready for the next time we light the wood-burner!
