Chevron Blanket

As well as making my daily Granny Square, I've been busy working on my chevron blanket. I think I'm at the halfway point now, and I am really enjoying snuggling up under it as I work.
I have a busy day planned for tomorrow - I have some room for some more fabric birds, and some very pretty fabric ready and waiting!

  1. love love love this blanket! I've been meaning to make one of these forever. I got a book that teaches how to do it, but so far, I haven't taken the time to really figure it out. I love yours!

    1. It's one of those projects that I want to finish so I can use it, but I don't want to finish it because I love working on it! I'm using the pattern from the Royal Sisters http://theroyalsisters.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/granny-chevron-blanket-pattern.html and I can't recommend it highly enough, it's lovely!

    1. Hi Cindy! I'm using plain old acrylic double knit for my chevron blanket - I started it as a way to use up some of my yarn stash, but of course I've bought more as I go along! I'm using a 4mm hook too so the stitches aren't too loose.

  5. My friend is opening a small yarn shop in a loft area of a downtown building. I pulled up your chevron on her ipad the other night to show her. She loved it too. Thanks for the info. I just don't like acrylic on my skin, itches me, so I think I'll make one using a cotton blend. And help my friend out by buying the yarn from her.
